Brief Backround: Salem was born on Ariel to a middle class family who worked for a prominent alliance diplomat. He was the first born of the family, and later on became a sibling to his sister Felicity, and his younger brother Anthony. He was sent to an academy at an early age and he graduated top of his class. From there it was infantry in the alliance military after recieving several commendations for service. After the unification war, Salem was moved to spec ops where he was assigned to a unit that was dispatched to deal with Dust Devil independant terrrorists.
Eventually with everything he knew he became a liability and he was betrayed by his commanding officer. His squad mates were slaughtered as well because they refused to betray him. A few bullets to the chest and abdomen and he was assumed dead the traitors left him to die on a backwater planet just before a mission evac. He was luckily found by nomads and nursed back to full health months later he set out in the verse looking for purpose,and a second chance. He found he still had a love for killing fighting and making things explode so he signed on for as many merc jobs as he could land. Now he tries to maintain a business selling weapons.
He considers himself a collector of sorts taking interest in all kinds of weaponry, and antiques. Salem now finds himself as a hired gun on Elpis. Loki his swan class mid bulk ship is being rented by a close friend of Elliot's. So he's earning some income off it.
Distinct Markings-
Salem has several obvious scars on his body the most visable is the scar that is located on his face across his lips which is slanted to the right, and an obvious burn mark on his left cheek which has been surgically faded. He has black tribal tattoos across his arms, chest, back, neck. He has two bullet hole scars two entry scars on his chest, and two exit scars on his back. His hands are scarred up from fighting, and his years of service.
Personal Gear-
He carries an alliance 10mm assault capacity "Cerberus" handgun. Most of his gear has survived over the years. He can usually be seen wearing a grey trenchcoat black military boots, and the rest of his clothes are bought from the black market. Anything that has pockets for ammo, and straps for weapons. Being a weapons dealer has gotten him access to caches's of weapons he wouldnt talk about openly. Having smuggled illegal weapons to buyers on many worlds tends to make one paranoid. He has a various assortment of other weapons such as knives, and a pair of brass knuckles hidden in his coat. Underneath his visable clothes he keeps high density armor jacket to ease his mind alittle.
